Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The nearly full moon rises behind one of the turrets of the Forte de Ancora / Forte da Lagarteira castle at Vila Praia de Ancora in northern Portugal. The castle is one of many that were built along the northern coast of Portugal during the mid-17th century. The Portuguese revolution of 1640 led to Portuguese Restoration War between Portugal and Spain and also involved other European powers. The War ended with the Treaty of Lisbon in 1668, which brought a formal end to the Iberian Union and led to the restoration of Portuguese independence.
